All of our state capitals are located either on the coast on a river, or in some cases both. Our nation’s capital, Canberra is located on a lake, albeit a man-made one, Lake Burley Griffin. Living on or near the water, or at least being within a reasonable distance, is very much an aspiration of many Australians. |
